TAM Ireland renews AGB Nielsen deal

New five-year contract to start in 2010

IRELAND— TV ratings body TAM Ireland has reappointed AGB Nielsen Media Research to conduct audience measurement services in the country.

The new contract will run for the next five years, coming into effect when the current one expires in September 2010.

Under the new contract AGB will almost double the size of its panel from 600 to 1,050 households. The firm will continue to use its Unitam metering system to measure audiences in the country.

Tim Farmer, the newly appointed managing director of AGB Nielsen Media Research Ireland, said the new contract was “a great endorsement from TAM Ireland and the television industry”.
