uSamp makes sales promotion, and hires for Instant.ly

US — uSamp, a research technology and sample company, has promoted Ted Bouzakis, most recently head of North American sales, to executive vice-president of sales.

Bouzakis replaces George Llorens, who is leaving the company “to pursue other interests”, the firm said. Prior to joining uSamp in February 2012, Bouzakis was a financial services account executive at IT company EMC, but he started his market research career at Greenfield Online.

uSamp CEO Alan Gould said: “We owe George our gratitude for the significant contributions he made to the company. We are really confident about Ted’s leadership capabilities and his ability to expand our varied, and growing client base given his terrific history of success at uSamp.”

The company has also appointed Elisabeth Mischel, a senior executive hailing directly from Nielsen Catalina Solutions, as a vice-president of Instant.ly, uSamp’s on-demand research platform.

Mischel joined The Nielsen Company through its acquisition of IAG Research – a company Gould founded – where she pushed industry adoption of emerging ad effectiveness data.
