UserTesting hires CSO

US – Insights software-as-a-service business UserTesting has appointed Baran Erkel as chief strategy officer.

Erkel (pictured) will lead strategic initiatives aimed at expanding UserTesting’s market presence. He has around two decades of experience in corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions, and strategic partnerships.

Prior to joining UserTesting, Erkel was senior vice president of corporate development and strategy at Nintex, and before that, he held leadership roles in corporate development at Citrix. He began his career in technology and management consulting with Accenture.

Eric Johnson, chief executive, UserTesting, said: “Baran’s deep expertise in corporate development, combined with a track record of successful acquisitions and partnerships, will be critical as we expand our business and look to enhance our offerings.”

Headquartered in San Francisco, UserTesting’s platform is used by brands to obtain feedback on digital products and experiences. The company was formed through the combination of UserTesting and UserZoom.
