US – Advertising technology firm VideoAmp has raised $75m in finance and appointed Paul Ross as chief financial officer.

Ross (pictured) was formerly chief financial officer at Trade Desk, and replaces Robert Leff, who has taken the newly-created role of chief investment officer at VideoAmp.

VideoAmp, which was formed in 2014, also said it had raised $50m in debt financing from investment company Capital IP Investment Partners LLC and that it can draw a further $25m.

The money will be used to expand VideoAmp’s infrastructure and media measurement function, and hire engineers and employees in client-services roles.

VideoAmp also bought cross-channel attribution firm Conversion Logic last year for an undisclosed amount.

Ross McCray, co-founder and chief executive of VideoAmp, said: “As dollars are shifting and going into other channels that are fragmented, like streaming, there’s more of a need for a unified view of those audiences. Covid-19 actually accelerated the fundamentals of that.”
