Wang has worked in marketing and client management for 15 years; she joined Millward Brown in 2008 as an account director and has also worked at GfK.

She will be based in the New York office and report to Mary Ann Packo, CEO of Millward Brown North America.

Wang said: “Through my work with clients, I’ve seen the power of BrandZ and how brands – from emerging to mature, on local and global stages – use it to assess brand health, identify growth and investment opportunities and understand the competitive landscape. I am excited to lead the team and build on its success to take BrandZ to the next level.”

BrandZ, carried out by Millward Brown in conjunction with WPP, covers more than 30 countries to assess consumer attitudes about more than 10,000 brands. It annually publishes the BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands, the Latin America Top 50, and the China Top 100 – and last month, for the first time, the India Top 50.
