Wieser joins GroupM to lead business intelligence
Wieser (pictured) will report to global CEO, Kelly Clark, and be responsible for expanding thought leadership through the business.
As senior analyst at Pivotal Research Group, he led the firm’s coverage of agencies, video and other digital content platforms, advertising and marketing technology and measurement companies.
He has also been executive vice-president, global director of forecasting for Interpublic’s Magna Global, chief marketing officer for venture-funded Simulmedia, investment banker at Lehman Brothers, and research analyst at Deutsche Bank.
In this role, he will collaborate with GroupM’s agencies and WPP’s broader network to gather, analyse and distribute marketplace intelligence giving clients insights on markets, audiences, partners and platforms, and supply and demand dynamics.
Clark said: “Brian has deep understanding of economic and industry dynamics, consumer behaviours, media partners and technology platforms. He is uniquely suited to create insightful analysis that will help our clients make marketing investment decisions.”
