WPP Digital buys Deeplocal
Deeplocal is based in Pittsburgh and was founded in 2006 as a spin-off of Carnegie Mellon University. It made revenues of $12m for the year to 31 December 2016 and its clients include Google, Netflix and Airbnb.
Employing more than 50 people, the in-house skills include robotics, hardware development, electrical engineering, software development, industrial design, strategy and creative.
Deeplocal will join WPP’s other digital assets including Acceleration (marketing technology consultancy), Cognifide (content management technology), Conexance (data cooperative) and Salmon (e-commerce).
