Conviva acquires social video company Delmondo
The move will add Delmondo’s audience insight data from social media platforms to Conviva’s streaming service, which measures streaming TV data from apps and the internet.
Delmondo will be renamed as Conviva Social Insights and offer streaming TV publisher clients with social media insights from platforms including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube. Conviva’s clients include HBO, Hulu and Turner.
Bill Demas, chief executive of Conviva, said the acquisition would offer clients "the intelligence needed to successfully distribute premium content on social platforms".
The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
