Criteo invests €20m in AI lab
Supported by a €20m investment over three years, the lab will research building deep models and will be led by Suju Rajan, vice-president, head of research at Criteo.
The company will be expanding its French presence to support the lab with new hires.
It said the work at the lab will shape industry standards for performance measurement and best practices, as well as lead the conversation around responsible use of data.
JB Rudelle, its CEO, said: "Criteo possesses very large datasets and computational power, combined with an innovative culture and talents. We believe this is the perfect mix to succeed in AI."
Rajan added: "Online advertising – the main economic model behind the internet – is evolving. Our ability to face these changes must rely on strong fundamental research dedicated to the creation of new principles, models and algorithms."
