Curtis named Big Sofa CEO
Curtis (pictured) joined Big Sofa in 2019 as head of client partnerships and business development. He was previously head of client strategy at intelligence platform Streetbees, and prior to that, spent 11 years at Kantar.
Fuller was appointed chief executive in November 2018 after joining the company as chief commercial officer.
Curtis and Fuller will work together in the next two months during the transition period. Fuller will assume her non-executive role on the board on 1st January 2022.
Andrew Briggs, formerly head of global business development at NTT, recently joined the board as a non-executive director.
Big Sofa secured funding in November 2020 and is using the investment to expand its offer in video artificial intelligence and machine learning. The automation and scaling up of data is a ‘key strategic priority', the company said.
Nick Mustoe, chairman at Big Sofa, said: "The re-evaluation of the home and customer experiences through Covid, the importance of the sustainability and inclusion agendas, the exponential growth of video and AI, all come together to shape a really significant opportunity for Big Sofa."
Fuller added: "My remit was to restructure and refocus the business, establishing a secure foundation for the next phase of the company’s development. That task is now complete, and I believe my skills are now better harnessed in a non-executive role. It is time to pass the leadership baton to Sam."
