Facebook joins ID2020 partnership
Founded in 2016, ID2020 works with companies, non-profit organisations and governments to promote the adoption and ethical use of user-managed digital identity technologies.
Accenture, Microsoft and The Rockefeller Foundation are among the founding partners of the initiative.
In August, the alliance launched an interoperability blueprint for digital health passes.
Dakota Gruener, executive director, ID2020, said: “We welcome partners that commit in earnest to upholding the values and principles outlined in the ID2020 manifesto and that share our mission to improve lives through ‘good’ digital ID. We could not be more pleased to welcome Facebook to our rapidly growing community.”
