Firefish Group makes raft of hires and promotions

UK & US – Research and insight company Firefish Group has made several appointments and promotions across its UK and US offices, within The Pineapple Lounge, Firefish and Firefish Data businesses.

The Pineapple Lounge, Firefish Group’s youth and family consultancy, has promoted Laura Christian (pictured) to senior strategy director.

Christian has worked at the agency for 11 years in various research and strategy roles.

Dee Cahill, joint managing director, The Pineapple Lounge, said: “Laura has been with The Pineapple Lounge pretty much from the start and has consistently impressed clients with her unmatched passion and empathy, establishing herself as a global authority on Gen Alpha, as well as Millennial and Gen Z parenting trends.”

Also in The Pineapple Lounge, Fenella Twohig joins as a junior strategist in the London team, while Abbie Green has been promoted to senior project manager. In the New York office, the company has promoted Christine Kim to strategist.

In London, Firefish has appointed Ciara Larkin as director in its cultural strategy team.

Susie Hogarth, head of cultural strategy at Firefish, said: “Ciara’s record in turning razor-sharp dissection of global cultural trends into actionable and transformational strategies for clients makes her an invaluable addition to the team –  and a key player in our ongoing work helping brands meaningfully plan their cultural impact and supercharge their growth”.

Also in London, the company has appointed Rebekah Smith as research manager and promoted Mona Hickey to senior research executive.

In the US, Karen Chong joins Firefish as a strategist, based in Los Angeles.

Firefish Data has appointed Jamie Robertson as senior director and Chloe Lee as research executive, both based in London.

Robertson has held various marketing strategy and research roles at companies including Ipsos and GSK.

Majbritt Rijs, managing director, Firefish Data, said: “Jamie was one of Firefish’s founding clients back in 2000 when he was in the Lucozade insights team at GSK, and we are so happy to have him inside the Firefish family now. His 25 years of experience and his brand and communications expertise is a great fit for us.”

Additionally, within Firefish Group’s headquarters team, the company has promoted Jack Fuller to junior project accountant and appointed Jonathan Dance as finance assistant.
