Gongos merges with Deckchair Data
Chris Robson and Scott Laing will become senior directors for data science at Gongos, and will focus on strengthening the Gongos’ work in research, strategy, implementation, and consultation on business challenges and business-to-consumer and business-to-business work.
Both Robson and Laing will also act as mentors to Gongos staff on data science analysis and engineering.
Before creating Deckchair Data, Robson was chief innovation officer and head of research science at ORC International (now Engine Insights), and also co-founded Parametric Marketing, a boutique analytics and methodology consultancy.
Laing has also previous worked at ORC International as senior vice-president and major account manager in the financial services practice, and before then was director of market development at WebCriteria (acquired by Coremetrics, now IBM).
Gongos was acquired by InSites Consulting earlier this year for an undisclosed fee to help Insites strengthen its US operation.
Camille Nicita, managing director at Gongos, said: “Our clients’ data challenges are growing increasingly complex as is the ability to translate data science into meaningful decisions.
“With the addition of Scott and Chris, our ability to guide clients from method to business application grows even stronger.”
