In a post on LinkedIn, Hansom (pictured) confirmed her departure and said she would be stepping out on her own, with firm plans to come at a later date.

In her role at Savanta, Hansom helped build the company’s youth research proposition in the wake of its acquisition of Youthsight in 2021.

At Youthsight, Hansom was managing director – insight, and was at the company for more than nine years, having spent the prior seven years at GfK.

In addition, Hansom chairs the Market Research Society’s (MRS’s) Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Council and has been a member of the MRS main board since 2023.

A Savanta spokesperson said: “Savanta can confirm that Josephine Hansom has left her role at Savanta as head of our global youth proposition.

“We thank Josephine for all of her hard work establishing Savanta’s youth practice following our acquisition of Youthsight and wish Josephine all the best for the future.”
