Kantar joins forces with Trax

UK – Data and insights business, Kantar, has agreed a strategic partnership with Trax, a retail-focused computer vision and analytics tool firm.

Trax’s in-store tools, market measurement and analytics services, use fine-grained image recognition, machine learning and IoT platforms to turn photos of retail shelves into shelf and store-level insights. The partnership will help CPG manufacturers and retailers improve category management and product assortment.

Clients will be offered an end-to-end approach to category management through Kantar’s Perfect Category service and be able to optimise product assortment and space, use planogram software with virtual reality visualisation and research, combined with in store compliance data and insights from Trax.

Trax’s unique expertise in digitising the physical world of retail, will allow us to seamlessly integrate with Kantar’s Perfect Category solution.”
