Kantar Media hires MD for Denmark
Christensen (pictured) was previously head of analysis at the Danish Media Association, where he contributed to the radio measurement media owners committee (MOC), the national readership survey and online measurement joint industry committee (JIC).
Before joining the Danish Media Association, Christensen spent 17 years at Danmarks Radio, most recently as head of audience research.
In his new role, Christensen will be responsible for leading the Kantar Media business in Denmark across its TGI business, custom research, data collection services, advertising expenditure and radio audience measurement services.
The appointment comes as a deal was agreed in January to sell Kantar Media to investment firm HIG Capital for around $1bn.
Mesut Sakal, executive managing director – Nordics and Baltics, central and eastern Europe and Asia-Pacific at Kantar Media, said: “We are excited to welcome Dennis to our team. His extensive experience and proven track record in the media industry will be invaluable as we continue to invest in our client services in Denmark and expand our presence in the Nordics.”
Christensen added: “It is an honour to be named as Kantar Media’s managing director for Denmark. I am excited to join such a talented team and bring my expertise in audience research and media analysis to this role.
“Together, we will continue to deliver high quality data and insights to our clients and accelerate innovation to cement Kantar Media’s leadership position in the region.”
