Lucid hires corporate strategy VP to lead acquisitions

US – Programmatic sample platform Lucid has appointed Eric Denker to vice-president of corporate development and strategy.

At Lucid, Denker (pictured) will be responsible for shaping the company’s strategic alliances, investments and mergers and acquisitions. He will also lead the integration of businesses into the Lucid organisation.

Prior to Lucid, Denker was director of corporate development at J2 Global, and before that he worked at Willis Towers Watson’s benefits marketplaces, Liazon and Via Benefits.

Lucid said its marketplace has grown by over 50% in the last year as the research technology (‘restech’) segment of the market research industry has increased in size.

Todd Saypoff, chief financial officer, Lucid, said: “To keep pace with where the industry is going, Lucid has already been investing in building the best marketplace for connecting businesses with the human answers and opinions they need.

“With Eric now on board, Lucid is in a position to capitalise on any expansion opportunities, whether that be a strategic partnership or a technology acquisition.”
