Marks & Spencer’s Ward to join Deliveroo

UK – Online food delivery company Deliveroo has appointed Hayley Ward as director of user research and insights, effective from 25th October.

Hayley Ward

Ward (pictured) has spent the past seven years at Marks & Spencer, working in several insight roles including head of research.

She has been head of customer experience, digital and data at the retailer since 2019.

Her appointment at Deliveroo follows the departure of Jake Steadman, formerly global vice-president of customer insight and user research, who recently joined Pulsar parent company Access Intelligence.

Ward said: “Deliveroo is one of the world’s fastest growing companies and I’m privileged to be leading this function which is critical to driving data-led, customer-centric decisions to increase loyalty and create better experiences for users (customers, riders and restaurants).”

Marks & Spencer has not confirmed whether anyone has been appointed to replace Ward.
