MEC promotes Clarvis to creative technologist role
The agency said the role had been created “in response to the changing definition of creativity, which no longer relates only to ideas that run in traditional media”.
Clarvis (pictured) will work with MEC’s strategy team which includes comms, digital, data, media and brand planners as well as creatives, and is designed to respond to different client briefs. It said the collaboration would ensure technology and creativity are part of the solutions it offers.
He will seek R&D partnerships with established organisations such as Google Campus, Royal College of Art and Hackspace as well as a number of start-ups.
Clarvis was previously MEC’s data innovation director and has spent the past four years working with clients including Vodafone, Royal Navy and BGL Group.
