Merkle hires head of agency sales in media division

UK – Customer experience management company Merkle, part of media firm Dentsu, has named Michael Butler as head of agency sales for its media practice.

Butler (pictured) will help lead Merkle’s media sales team and drive growth for clients in customer experience management and media.

Before joining Merkle, Butler was head of business development Europe, Middle East and Africa at Essence, where he spent a total of 11 years.

Toby Benjamin, managing director of media at Merkle, said: “Michael’s impressive track record of winning and retaining some of the largest UK and international brands makes him the perfect choice to lead our media sales team in the next phase of our growth evolution.

“As we continue to strengthen the collaboration between media and customer experience management at Dentsu, Michael’s extensive experience in driving new business growth and nurturing existing client relationships is critical in today’s fiercely competitive environment.”
