Mintel creates nutrition role
Based in Mintel’s London office, Miller (pictured) will be responsible for developing thought leadership content in specialised nutrition for Mintel Food & Drink clients by providing insights on trending topics such as infant and maternal nutrition, specialised diets, sports nutrition and weight management.
Miller has more than 15 years of sports nutrition and clinical dietetics experience. He treated thousands of patients in the NHS and private medical sector, as well as working with individual athletes and teams including the English National Ballet, the British Swimming team and World Wrestling Entertainment.
Miller has collaborated with the FMCG and sports supplementation sector as a medical liaison consultant working with brands such as Mondelez, Danone and California Almonds.
Chris Brockman, EMEA research manager for Mintel Food & Drink, said: “Rick brings a wealth of nutrition and dietetics experience, which really complements Mintel’s existing global nutrition expertise. This is great timing for his appointment. Mintel’s food and drink clients increasingly looking to tap into the opportunities in specialised nutrition, particularly the booming sports nutrition market, the growing focus on medical nutrition products in an ageing society, and the global growth in infant nutrition.”
