AUSTRALIA – Insights consultancy Bastion Insights, part of communications group Bastion, has appointed Ali Dexter as co-chief executive, leading the company’s team in Melbourne.

Dexter (pictured) joins Bastion Insights from market research and insights agency T garage, where she was director of insights and strategy, and prior to that, spent 12 years at Kantar.

Dexter will work alongside Peter Harris, who recently joined the company as co-chief executive, based in the Sydney office.

Bastion Insights founder Dianne Gardiner has stepped down as chief executive to take up a role as executive director.

Gardiner said: “Ali’s global research experience and focus on agile approaches, together with Peter, gives us an incredible leadership team to see Bastion Insights through to the next chapter.”

Jack Watts, global chief executive, Bastion, added: “It is fantastic to have Ali on board as we continue to build out our local and global data and insights capabilities. Now, more than ever, our clients are seeking a data and insights led approach to all areas of their business.”
