Nielsen adds YouTube app measurement in 26 countries
The other additional countries are: Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Ireland, Israel, Malaysia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Singapore, South Africa, Spain, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and The United Arab Emirates.
This means the service is now available in 34 countries and regions in total. It builds on Nielsen’s current measurement coverage of YouTube ads on desktop and mobile web browsers to give marketers cross-device measurement of ad audiences on YouTube.
This gives Nielsen Digital Ad Ratings clients access to age and gender demographics for ad viewers on the YouTube mobile app, as well as reach, frequency and gross rating points (GRPs).
Clare Lui, vice-president, media, Nielsen Hong Kong, said: “The expanded capability of Digital Ad Ratings showcases Nielsen’s commitment to provide our clients with the most comprehensive third-party measurement across all publishers and platforms. This has significance as YouTube accounts for a large share of mobile video advertising in the markets involved, including Hong Kong."
