Paul Wealleans joins Empower as CEO
Wealleans (pictured) was previously managing director for the UK and Ireland at Norstat. He joined the company when it acquired Panelbase and DRG, where he had held the position of managing director. He was also previously a member of the board for Dipsticks Research.
Prior to joining the market research industry 10 years ago, Wealleans held various management and director roles in the media sector.
Wealleans will work alongside Ruth Partington, global chief executive and founder of Empower, and chair of the company’s board of directors.
Partington said: “We are delighted to appoint Paul as chief executive at a time of global expansion for Empower into Asia-Pacific and the Americas. Paul brings with him a wealth of industry knowledge, enthusiasm for the Empower vision, and strong leadership skills – all of which are vital to our strategic growth as a localisation business.”
Wealleans comments: “This is a fantastic time to join the Empower team and to be involved in their extensive global growth plans. I have known Ruth and John for over eight years and feel very honoured to have been given this opportunity to lead the company towards its next exciting chapter and growth journey.”
