The office is the company’s second European location following the launch of its London office in 2010.

The Romanian branch will function as a client service and operations hub for clients across Europe, working with the London office to support European clients’ business requirements for Asian markets.

Neil Cantle, regional head, EU, who oversees the company’s London office, will also lead the Bucharest office.

Cantle said: “We look forward to continuing to provide the highest standards of service for our clients’ research needs in Asia on this next stage of our journey.”

Formerly AIP Corporation, Rakuten Insight, headquartered in Tokyo, became part of the Rakuten Group in 2014. The company has a research panel in 12 countries and regions in Asia and a panel network covering 60 countries and regions.
