Schlesinger returns to lead Sago as CEO departs
Schlesinger (pictured) had been chief executive at Sago for around 30 years before leaving the role in 2022 to become executive chairman, with Cundiff his replacement.
Cundiff left Kantar in 2021 after two years as chief executive for the Americas and prior to that ran Microsoft’s customer and market research team.
Following the change in the senior team at Sago, Schlesinger will remain as executive chairman while leading the company.
Independent director and former Sago president Mike Sullivan has also been appointed chief operating officer, effective immediately.
Sullivan joined Sago in 2000 and later moved into an advisory role on the company’s board of directors.
Schlesinger said: “On behalf of the board, I would like to thank Reed for his many contributions to Sago.
“Under his leadership, the company transformed its product and service offerings and enhanced the customer experience. Thanks to Reed’s dedication, Sago is more agile and innovative. We wish him the best in his future endeavours.”
Reflecting on his time at Sago, Cundiff said: “It has been a privilege to serve as the CEO of Sago, and I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved – building a strong leadership team, driving innovation and expanding Sago’s footprint in the market research industry.
“With Steve stepping back into the CEO role, I have full confidence that Sago’s global team is poised for continued success as it enters its next phase of growth.”
