SPA Future Thinking about children’s reading habits
Publisher Egmont UK has launched Reading Street where its insight team and SPA Future Thinking’s researchers will spend time with families around the country to examine the role of reading in a year-long study.
The study aims to go behind the headlines to investigate whether fewer children are reading for pleasure and how reading behaviour is changing in response to the new-media environment.
Rebecca Ironside, senior director at SPA Future Thinking, said: “Working alongside Egmont offers us an exciting opportunity to help understand reading in the context of family life and what it takes to inspire children to read, today and in the future.”
