WPP invests in US virtual reality company

UK – WPP has announced it has invested in SubVRsive, a tech company that works with advertisers in the emerging virtual reality and augmented reality sector.

SubVRsive was founded in 2015 and its headquarters are in Austin, Texas. It works with directors, producers, content creators and developers to develop video, apps and interactive experiences for virtual reality devices and computers.

The American Heart Association, Lionsgate Entertainment, Procter & Gamble and Showtime Networks are among its clients.

The investment is in line with its strategy of focusing on three key areas: technology, data and content.
