WPP invests in VR/AR business

UK – WPP has made a strategic investment in US-based virtual reality/augmented reality entertainment and technology company Within Unlimited.

The value of the investment in the business led by film maker and music video director Chris Milk and technologist Aaron Koblin, and founded in 2014, has not been disclosed.

Within creates and produces VR content, as well as curating third party content, all of which is distributed via the Within app. It has worked with Apple, The New York Times, NBC Universal, Vice, 21st Century Fox and Alphabet.

Based in Los Angeles, with another office in San Francisco, it has a staff of 35.
