UK/US – Cultural insights business CrowdDNA, part of Strat7, is launching in Los Angeles and has appointed David Stewart to lead the new office, as well as making new hires in New York and Singapore.

The Los Angeles office, first announced in March this year, will be the most recent expansion for the company, which is headquartered in London with offices in Amsterdam, New York, Singapore, Sydney and Stockholm.

David Stewart (pictured) joins Crowd DNA with a remit to build the company’s proposition in LA, grow the team and establish client relationships and thought leadership. He will work alongside Crowd DNA founder and chief executive Andy Crysell.

The main focus for the agency in LA will be on the future of entertainment and consulting for tech, media and entertainment clients and brands in other categories seeking opportunities in the space.

Stewart was previously a director at LA-based market research company Coherency. He has also worked at Kelton and for Jigsaw International, based in China.

Crysell said: “Even in an age when so much can be done remotely, it’s always been a driving ambition to shape a business with an on-the-ground global presence. There are lots of exciting reasons for landing in Los Angeles – not least to be close to so much of the ‘future of entertainment’ action that has long been core to our work.”

The company has also appointed Hina Hussain as head of agency for its New York City office. Prior to Crowd DNA, Hussain was director of strategic consulting at Galileo and has previously worked at Hall & Partners and Flamingo in the US and Singapore.

In the Singapore office, Radha Patel has joined as a director with a focus on client relationships. Patel’s background includes roles at Clear and the Futures Company.
