GfK Consumer Life names North America account lead
Melnick (pictured) was previously working as a business development specialist at GfK, where he had worked since 2015, and in his new role will focus on consumer life syndicated data and reports.
Industries of focus for Melnick previously have included fashion and general retail, groceries, fast-moving consumer goods and home improvement.
Before joining GfK, Melnick was vice-president of consumer insights, customer relationship management and loyalty marketing at Nine West Holdings.
Other roles have included director of market research and sales analysis at Liz Claiborne, Inc., where Melnick developed consumer insights for a portfolio of leading fashion brands.
GfK Consumer Life is a consumer trend study that has run since 1997 and operates across 25 countries with a sample of more than 30,000 consumers.
Tom Neri, commercial director at GfK Marketing and Consumer Intelligence in North America, said: “Dave is a strong match for our Consumer Life offerings – an expert in leveraging insights across many industries, and an experienced leader in matching solutions to clients.
