New analytics role for MEC Global

ASIA PACIFIC — MEC has appointed Jonathan Edwards into the newly created role of regional director, analytics, data and technology lead for Asia Pacific.

Edwards will be responsible for leading the media agency’s growth in data and technology as well as pushing analytics solutions for MEC’s clients in the region. He will be based in Singapore.

He will manage and develop the analytics, data and technology function in MEC’s APAC regional client management division, Global Solutions and support the client teams through the integration of client and agency data. As the agency extends into new technology areas he will promote the use of open source platforms. Edwards will work with Raj Gupta, chief strategy officer for MEC APAC to grow the practice across markets.

Before taking up this role in Singapore, Edwards was director of data & technology services for MEC in the UK. There he was responsible for bringing new products to market and expanding the technical advisory practice covering Campaign Process Management, Web Analytics and User Experience, plus digital strategy and technology consulting. He has worked on the client side at BSkyB and Deloittes in the UK.
