Firefish established The Pineapple Lounge in 2010, with Worrollo joining from kids’ specialist Sherbert Research to lead the business.

Worrollo is leaving the company to pursue her own venture, Playful Den. She will continue to work with the leadership team on a consultancy basis on key client accounts.

Gestin (pictured, left), previously senior strategy director, has been appointed managing director – strategy.

Gestin joined the business five years ago, prior to which she worked as senior vice-president of global research at PlayScience and as international research director at MTV Networks International.

The company has promoted Cahill (pictured, right), previously field and operations director, to managing director – operations. Cahill moved to The Pineapple Lounge from Firefish in 2014.

Jem Fawcus, chief executive, Firefish Group, said: “When Emma and I first met, I knew she was something special. Not least because she shared the same passion and enthusiasm for doing things differently as I did when I founded Firefish in 2000. Over the last 11 years, the business has gone from strength to strength, in no small part thanks to Dee and Riwanon’s progressive thinking and leadership alongside Emma.”

Worrollo said: “In 2010, I collaborated with Firefish to embark on a mission of becoming a leading industry expert in decoding kid-culture. Dee and Riwanon have been instrumental in achieving that, with Riwanon wowing clients with her strategic outputs and Dee keeping the business moving efficiently behind the scenes.”
