UK – Consumer intelligence company NIQ has doubled the size of UK Homescan sample for its Consumer Panel Service (CPS) to 30,000 households.

CPS tracks, diagnoses and analyses consumer shopping behaviour and its Homescan service is designed to offer measurement of purchasing behaviour across the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sector.

Homescan panel sample expansions are also expected to take place in France, Italy, Spain and Germany from the first quarter of 2025, which including the UK expansion will add 42,000 extra panellists across the five markets.

Karl Brady, consumer panel market leader at NIQ, said: “The importance of finding and winning shoppers to drive growth has never been greater – and doing this with the confidence of precision to tackle these challenges.

“At NIQ we are continuing to invest significantly in our retail and consumer proposition, and this latest upgrade to CPS helps ensure we continue to offer the strongest and most validated and reliable insights for our clients in the market.”
