Clays (pictured) will be based in London and will replace Guy Marks, who was recently named as chief executive officer at PHD Worldwide.

In his new role, which starts on 1st October, Clays will oversee strategy, operations and development and adoption of new tools across OMG agencies in Emea.

Before taking up his new job, Clays was chief executive officer at OMG UK for four years. A replacement at OMG UK will be appointed shortly.

Florian Adamski, chief executive at OMG, said: “In leadership roles at both OMD and OMG UK over a decade that has seen seismic technological, economic and cultural shifts, Dan has consistently driven business growth for our clients and agencies by keeping our offer several cycles ahead of the next disruption.

“In his new role, that commitment – combined with his road-tested expertise and vision – will assure both market and industry-leading capabilities and client service across all OMG Emea agencies.”
