Three new senior hires at MTM

UK – Strategy and insights consultancy MTM has appointed three senior researchers to newly created roles covering the media, tech and entertainment sectors, and user experience (UX) research.

Becky Ferguson joins MTM as director and head of the company’s media and advertising sector practice. Previously at Ipsos, Ferguson will devise research tech solutions for measurement and perception.

The company has also appointed Jonathan Stone as director and head of technology and telco sector practice. Stone joins MTM from Strat7 Incite and has previously supported various tech clients, including telco companies and direct-to-consumer startups.

Caroline Wren, managing director at MTM, said: “We’re excited to welcome these talented researchers at the top of their game, and looking forward to doing great things together.”

Michael Thompson has also joined MTM as head of user experience (UX) research, with a remit to launch a specialist UX research service.

Thompson was previously partner and head of qual at Sparkler (now PA Consulting), and he previously held research director positions at Chime Communications and GfK.

Caroline Wren, managing director of MTM, said: “As our business evolves to adapt to the changing demands of the media and technology sectors in which we specialise, understanding the user experience will be vital.

“Michael will play an essential role on this front, helping our clients to better understand their users so that they can design and deliver digital experiences that not only serve people well, but also surprise and delight them.”
