Watson (pictured) will be responsible for developing Opinium’s quantitative research work in his new role and innovation across the organisation.
Before joining Opinium, Watson spent four years at Nature in Melbourne, and previously had an almost seven-year spell at Hall & Partners.
James Endersby, chief executive at Opinium, said: “We are thrilled to welcome Scott to the Opinium team. His extensive experience and strategic mindset will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation and deliver exceptional value to our clients.
“We are confident that Scott will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our agency.”
Watson added: “I’ve had Opinium on my ‘hit list’ of agencies to work with for nearly 10 years, so when the opportunity to work here came up I jumped at the chance.
“Opinium already has an excellent team of smart people delivering great work and I’m really excited about contributing to that and taking our quant offer to the next level, with ever more cutting-edge methodologies that will give our clients even clearer and more impactful recommendations to action.”
