Charlton (pictured) will be tasked with growing and leading Verve’s technology, media and telecoms practice globally and help expand its US business.

In addition, Charlton will work alongside Miranda Barenie, who leads Verve’s North America consumer packaged goods (CPG) and retail work.

Before joining Verve, Charlton founded and managed two consumer insight agencies, Essential Research and Craft.

Verve is currently recruiting all levels of researchers across North America with a particular focus on their hubs in Chicago and New York.

Andrew Cooper, founder and chief executive at Verve, said: “It is brilliant to have Alex on board to drive our North American tech, media and telecoms offering as well as bring our culture, trends and semiotics at scale business to the US.

“We’re excited about bringing all these new capabilities to market, complimenting the tremendous work that Miranda Barenie and the existing North America team are doing.”
